~Buddhism~

Question
How is your daily life affected by buddism? What do you do and why do you do it?


I think our mind are affected by buddism, for example if I do something wrong (kind of put the bad mouth on my friends), I would be punished.I think that all these worlds are connected. Therefore, we have to do a good deed. If we do a bad thing, the reward of the bad thing will certainly come to us.


Most Japanese do お墓参り at お盆(in Augast). A few Japanese people puts something foods and folowers on family buddhist altar everyday. For example, fruit and Japanese cakes ,etc. These foods that ancestors liked while their were alive. And Family Buddhist later is important for us to faith in Buddhism.

☆United Nation☆

If you were working for the UN, which job would like to have using your English abilities?


If I were working for the UN, I would like to work at Outreach Division.
I would like to work at United Nations CyberSchool Bus in UN.


Why?


United Nations CyberSchool Bus is global teaching and learning project.

I'm interestied in international relief and aid efforts.
I'm interestied in NGO. I think that educetion is associated with peace. And I think that education is most important for children who are poor, too.So, I want to help them with education activity.
It is good Exprience for me to help other people.
And, it will be stimulating for me.
I would like to help many poor people. I want to make a smile.

Familylife Homework

a. When do children usually leave home?
After graduate high school, if children goes to or work at other prectures, they leave home.I think it is defnitely comfortable to stay with parents. Almost of all my friends who stay with their parents rarely do housework because they depend on their parents.


b. How many people live in your home?
I live with 4 people; my mother, my father, my yunger brother and me.

c. Do you have a head of the family?
A head of family is my mother. Because she runs our. My father is hen-pecked husband .

d. Who does the housework?
It is my mother. She does everything. Sometimes, My younger brother and I help cleaning, shopping, washing dishes and so on.


e. Who runs the family?
I think it is my mother. She keeps acout everyday. My father doesn't so much care about budget.


f. How many rooms do you have to sleep in?
I have 5 rooms to sleep in.

answer questions in the textbook on page 9 number 1,3 and 7.



1. How do you choose a child's given name in your family?
We pick up some names from the dictionary or book which contains children's names. Then we find out which names is the best stroke count and go with family name.In addition, we were named by person who parents respect.
I was named Junko by person who my parents respect.



3. Does your given name or your family name mean anything?

My given name is Junko. "Jun" means simplicity and honest. "Ko" means child.
so, "Junko" means child who is simplicity and honest.

My family name is "Awamura".
According to family pedigree memo, Tokushima Prefecture was formerly called by "Awa". so, "Awa" is Tokushima Prefecture.
"Mura" is village.
"Awamura" is name that gave to person of great influence .



7. How do you know if names are boys' names, girls' names, or both?

If the last letter of name is "子", it means the person is a girl. If the last letter of name is "一" or "也"and "哉", it means the person is a boy. But, recently it is hard to make out which is the girls name or boy's name. For example, "Kaoru" , "Urara" means both names. My friend's child name is "Urara". I thought that Urara may be girls name when I heard for the first time. But, Urara is boy... So, it is hard to make out which is the girls name or boy's name.
