hello everyone

hello everyone(^^♪
How are you??
my name is Kotone.

I took this class last semester.
I like this class, because I can learn about forigen culture.
I want to leatn about forigen culture this semester.

Anyway...
I must do Homework#1 (ーー;)

1. Today we discussed the Japanese concept of "wrapping". Do you agree with the web site's description? What do you do that can be called "wrapping"? Give examples and reasons for your actions.

I agree with the web site's description. I think that Japanese people want to wapp anything.
I don't know why they do it. But, I always say that please wapping. It may be typical Japanese culture.

Sometimes I think that why it is wrapp. That's vegetable. I always think that why it is wrapp ,when I go to supermarket. Maybe foreigners think that it is strange.

The thing that I want to wrapp is present. Because it is gift.
I think that gift is special thing. So I want to wrapp thing that I present.

2. Preparation for the next class "Death and Funerals" Answer these questions in your blog

a. Where do you go when you die?

When I was a child my grand father said me that "if you want to go to heaven, you must do good things and manner ."
I don't know where do I go when I die.
However I want to believe that I go to heaven when I die.
And, I want to change into someone else.
Then I start new life.

b. Explain why do Japanese have death memorial services 1 month, 1 year, 3 years, 7 years, etc. after a person's death

Japanese have death memorial services 49 days, 1 year, 3 years, 7 years, etc.
49days is calles Shijukunichi Hoyo in Japanese. And it is also called Manchu-in in Japanese.
It says that this day's judgement decided death destiny. So this day is very important.
Many Japanese people place someone'S ashes in a tomb.
Then anniversary of the death of 1 is to pass the 1 year from death.
This day invite decedent's family and relatives, decedent's friends and so on.
However after 1 year if we hold 3year, 7year and so on we invite only decedent's family and relatives. I don't know why. But it is general in Japan.

I'm sorry. this web site is Japanese.

Hello(*^_^*)I love your blog. It's so cute and nice to talk to blog readers. What you said about wrapping vegetable made me laugh a lot. That is funny point! I did not even think about it. Japanese try to look good even if it is vegetable!

I didn't know that vegetables are not wrapped in foreign countries. If I were not Japanese and when I see a vegetable wrapped in Japan, I would think it's strange...
